SAMICARE envisions a shared solidarity between Indigenous researchers and the allied others to reclaim the meaning of aging and care. This project examines ageing, quality of life, and home-based elderly care among two indigenous peoples: Sámi in Norway and Tayal in Taiwan. We wish to address the colonial/imperial impact on them regarding how they deal with ageing and elderly care.
